Apart from making the best tasting coffee in the world, by varying the quantities of water and coffee used, your Atomic coffee machine will make just about any type of coffee in the world:
Espresso shots / Lattes / Cappuccino / Macchiato / Café Au Lait / Mocha / Americano / Iced Coffee / even Hot Chocolate!
Quick User Guide: The Atomic is a high pressure stove-top unit generating a respectable 4-6 bars of pressure to make up to 4 cups of coffee at a go, with the steaming power to texture the quality of milk required. As with all great coffee, freshness is essential. Use freshly roasted coffee of your choice and grind on demand.
The grind required will depend on your chosen coffee but a medium grade usually produces the best results. On average the Atomic will produce perfect coffee in about 5 minutes.
Your Atomic coffee machine is very easy to operate – simply follow this guide:
Step 1: Fill Coffee Jug (7) to 1.5cm below rim with water and pour into the machine or fill direct from the tap via Black Valve (1). Screw Black Valve firmly into place and ensure Red Valve (2) is closed.
Step 2: Fill larger of the two Coffee Filters with medium ground fresh coffee and press down gently (note – do not pack coffee too tightly). Place the Filter in the Coffee Handle (5) and clamp the unit into the Machine Head (3).
Step 3: Place Atomic Machine (with Coffee Jug (7) in place) over a moderate-to-high heat. After a few minutes, strong black coffee will start to pour into the jug.
Step 4: When coffee stops pouring into the jug (you will know by a low gurgling noise) you are ready to froth your milk. To froth keep the Atomic on a high heat, pour milk into a separate jug, place under Steam Nozzle (6), open the Red Valve (2) to froth the milk either smooth or bubbly, add to coffee and ENJOY!
Cleaning:
Never leave stale water and coffee grounds inside the Machine when not in use
Never put soap or detergent inside the machine
Never use abrasive materials or place parts in dishwasher
Do - before you use your Atomic for the first time - bed it in or remove the ‘newness’ by rinsing the unit through with hot water. Regular cleaning after use is important to ensure lifelong perfect performance.
In general only those parts that are in contact with coffee or milk should require cleaning. After use, release left over steam to expel milk residue from the Steam Nozzle and empty the water boiler unit completely.
Then wash out the Coffee Holder, Jug and Filter Basket, Filter plate and Machine Head with warm water. Wipe down exterior services to remove milk or coffee residue. Clear Steam Nozzle with a pin-head if it gets blocked.
Storage:
Never store the Machine with the Black Valve (1) attached / in situ
Never leave stale water and coffee grounds inside the Machine when not in use
To store: leave the Red Knob open and place the Filter Basket, Coffee Handle and Black Valve inside the Coffee Jug. If storing for an extended period, a piece of tissue placed in the water-fill hole will keep out dust etc
